Liza Soberano's former manager Ogie Diaz claimed on Tuesday, through his new showbiz vlog, that Liza and her reel-to-real boyfriend Enrique Gil have broken up.
According to Diaz, he received the news about the couple’s breakup, recalling the events and Soberano’s statements that spiked speculation about the supposed split.
He added that Soberano has never mentioned Gil in her past interviews and that the latter stated that she was not in favor of creating love teams, which led to the assumption that they might have broken up.
Moreover, Diaz stated that Soberano did not greet Gil online, and both kept quiet about the issue, making their fans conclude that they really have split up.
He explained that Soberano chose to focus on pursuing her acting career in Hollywood, which resulted in the breakup, clarifying that his source mentioned that the actress wants to work on her career programming.
However, Diaz still hopes that the rumor is not true, and if there has been a miscommunication between the two, they can still work it out.
"Sayang, ilang taon din sila, 8 years. Sayang din 'yun diba," he said.
He further mentioned that he has yet to confirm the third-party issue that caused the breakup.
Meanwhile, Soberano and Gil, famously known as ‘LizQuen,’ rose to fame as a love team in 2014 with their hit television series "Forevermore."
They also starred in "Dolce Amore" in 2016, and "Bagani" in 2018, and were last seen as a screen couple in "Make It with You" in 2020.
The two also co-starred on the big screen in "She's The One" in 2013, followed by "Just The Way You Are" and "Everyday I Love You" in 2015, "My Ex and Whys" in 2017, and "Alone/Together" in 2019.
