Railways will be implementing preventive maintenance during Holy Week this year.
Here are the schedules released by train operators:
LRT-1
The Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT-1) will be temporarily suspended from April 6-9 to give way for its necessary maintenance activities, according to the Light Rail Manila Corp. (LRMC).
Normal operations will resume on April 10.
The LRMC also announced that LRT-1 will have normal service hours from April 3-5, or Holy Monday to Holy Wednesday, which is 4:30 AM to 10:00 PM.
LRT-2
The operations of LRT-2 will also be suspended for the rest of the Holy Week as announced by the Light Rail Transit
Authority.
In an advisory posted on their Facebook page on Monday, the LRTA said apart from the four-day suspension of operations starting Maundy Thursday, there will also be a shortened schedule on Holy Wednesday.
"On April 5, the shortened operating schedule will be at 7:00 PM only for both routes bound for Recto and Antipolo," said the LRTA.
After the Holy Week, the normal operations of the LRT-2, which connects Recto and Antipolo, will resume next Monday, April 10, 2023, with trips starting at 5:00 AM.
MRT-3
From April 6 until 9, the operations of the Metro Rail Transit (MRT_3) will be suspended to give way to its annual Holy Week maintenance activities.
In an advisory, the Department of Transportation-MRT3 announced that there will be no operations from Holy Thursday to Easter Sunday.
Normal operations will resume on April 10, it added.
PNR
The Philippine National Railways has yet to release its Holy Week schedule.
