The Quezon Provincial Police Office received a report early this morning that a lifeless body was found lying along the shoreline of Talao-talao Beach in Lucena City, Quezon Province.
Wilmar Tanilon Castillo, the companion of the victim, found the dead body of the identified Charlie Berongoy Licat, 29, along the beach resort at around 6:00 in the morning.
According to the police report, an ocular inspection has been conducted on the victim's body, which confirmed that there were abrasions on his face.
Moreover, it was reported that the victim and his companions were out drinking until 11:00 p.m. on April 6.
Then, the drunken victim went to the sea for a swim with his companions; however, they went back to the cottage subsequently, inviting the victim to come with them as they felt cold, which the latter refused.
Licat's lifeless body was then discovered the next morning, and the witness immediately called to report it.
The cadaver will then be subjected to an autopsy examination.
Meanwhile, Licat's body now lies at Ala-Ala Funeral Homes located along Dalahican Road, Brgy. Dalahican, Lucena City.
