Colegio de San Juan de Letran has finally ended its 22 years of drought after bringing home the NCAA Season 98 juniors basketball title in a sweeping victory against College of Saint La Salle Green Hills Greenies, 77-61.

Young star Andy Gemao was hailed as the Finals MVP after averaging 17.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists — and was part of the Mythical Team alongside LSGH big men Luis Pablo and Seven Gagate, San Beda’s Chris Hubilla, LPU’s Matthew Rubico, and Perpetual’s Amiel Acido.

Letran Squires have shown notable performance with Gemao and other dominating players Jovel Baliling, scoring off 19 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists, and Jonathan Manalili with 16 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists, and 2 blocks.

This was the first time since 1983 that Letran’s team champed in both senior and junior basketball tournaments in one season.
