The Presidential Communications Office (PCO) said on Thursday that the Legislative-Executive Development Advisory Council (Ledac) has already approved 10 more priority bills for the 19th Congress.
In a statement issued by the Palace, Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri said that they are committed to supporting the additional measures that the economic team added, saying that they have not seen any controversy.
Moreover, the House of Representatives and the Senate are now working on the measures that are tasked with their approval before Congress takes its break in December.
Earlier, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. mentioned a total of 20 priority bills, of which the chamber passed 18 while the Senate approved 10.
Meanwhile, the additional proposed bills are the following:
- Amendments to the Government Procurement Reform Act
- Excise Tax on Single-Use Plastics
- Amendments to the Cooperative Code
- Amendments to the Fisheries Code
- The New Government Auditing Code
- Rationalization of the Mining Fiscal Regime
- Philippine Defense Industry Development Act
- The Philippine Maritime Zones Act
- The Open Access to Data Transmission Act
- Amendments to the Right-of-Way Act
