The leadership of the Senate and House of Representatives express grief over the<a href="https://www.dzrh.com.ph/post/mike-enriquez-passes-away-at-71" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> saddened death of veteran television broadcaster and host </a>Mike Enriquez.
In a statement, Senate President Juan Miguel 'Migz' Zubiri said Enriquez, who is among the most trusted news anchors, has left a big legacy.
"Mami-miss natin gabi-gabi ang kanyang boses na nagsasabing, &ldquo;walang kinikilingan, walang pinoprotektahan, walang kasinungalingan, serbisyong totoo lamang," Zubiri said.
He also extended prayers to the veteran broadcaster's family members who are going through a hard time.&nbsp;
"I hope that they know that he will never be replaced, and will never be forgotten. Paalam po, Mike Enriquez," Zubiri added.

House Speaker Martin Romualdez also joined the media industry in mourning the death of Enriquez and said that the GMA Network has just lost a broadcasting giant.
"The death of Enriquez has left a void in the industry and his beloved network his colleagues would struggle to fill. His absence will be felt for a long time," he said in a separate statement.
Romualdez described the veteran journalist as a "champion of the oppressed, the abused".
"His docudrama 'Imbestigador' was his vehicle for exposing corruption and mischief. His now famous punchline 'Hindi kita tatantanan!' sent an ominous warning to wayward and abusive public officials, policemen, other public servants, and other citizens with influence," he said.
The House Speaker likewise sent his prayers and thoughts to Enriquez's loved ones.&nbsp;

The veteran television broadcaster passed away on Tuesday. He was 71 years old.&nbsp;
