College of St. Benilde Lady Blazers need only one more win to bring home the championship in the NCAA Season 98 women's volleyball tournament.
St. Benilde took the lead in the best-of-three finals series after sweeping Lyceum of the Philippine University Lady Pirates, 25-17, 25-19, 25-19, on Tuesday, April 11, at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City.
Gayle Pascual chipped in 15 points as the Lady Blazers near their second straight championship.
Joan Doguna and Jaja Tulang combined for 16 points to pace the Lady Pirates in game one of the championship series.
Lady Blazers will have a chance to bring home the title in Game Two on Friday, April 14, at the FilOil EcoOil Centre.
