Several labor groups have voiced out their demands to the government on Labor Day, May 1, along Roxas Boulevard in Manila.
According to the report of RH Boy Gonzales, protesters raised their placards, such as "Sahod!!! Hindi Cha-Cha. Living Wage, Hindi Cha-Cha. Prangkisa, Hindi Cha-Cha."
Another placard read, "Ayuda, hindi bomba!" and "Lupang Ninuno Depensahan Ipaglaban."

Meanwhile, transport group PISTON also joined the rally as it is reiterating its objection to the government's jeepney modernization program.
"Defend the right to strike!" their placards read.
Labor protesters from other parts of the country also conducted rallies in Cebu and Bacolod.
Meanwhile, the Cebu Police Regional Office (PRO 7) said there was no untoward incident that occurred during the worker's protest.
Earlier, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ordered a review of the minimum wage rates in every region, noting that the wage should be taken into consideration with the effects of inflation.
