Tropical Cyclone Kristine intensified into a severe tropical storm on Wednesday, October 23.

As of 4:00PM, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) recorded the center of STS Kristine at 175 kilometers East of Echague, Isabela.

PAGASA reported that STS Kristine has maximum sustained winds of 95 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 115 kilometers per hour.

STS Kristine moves northwestward with a speed of 20 kilometers per hour.
