The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) reported that Severe Tropical Storm Kristine had killed 13 people, from the affected 2,656,446 individuals.

In a situational report issued at 8 AM on Friday, October 25, NDRRMC found that the death toll climbed to 13, while five people were reportedly injured and seven remain missing.

However, the NDRRMC noted that only one person was confirmed dead, while the remaining 12 are still up for validation. This goes the same for the reported injured and missing casualties.

Out of the over 2.6 million individuals affected nationwide, 24,988 were pre-emptively evacuated, from Region 1, Region 2, Region, MIMAROPA, Region 8, Region 9, and CARAGA.

‘Kristine’ also distressed a total of 569,524 families; with 64,447 of those staying at the available 5,791 evacuation centers.

Additionally, the NDRRMC's report logged the Bicol Region with the highest number of affected populations, at 1,860,625.

The Police Regional Office (PRO) 5’s latest report said that 26 people were reported killed in the same region due to the severity of Kristine. The Bicol police noted, however, that they are continuing to validate the reported death count, including the injured and missing people.

Kristine is forecasted to move west-northwestward in the next 48 hours. PAGASA said that it will leave the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) by Friday afternoon.
