Kris Bernal had just told the story behind the viral photo showing her haircut during her Starstruck era!
Interviewed by Boy Abunda in GMA's Fast Talk on Tuesday, January 23, Kris said she did not really like her hair in Starstruck where she got a short haircut.
Kris said she was excited about her new hair at first but it only led to her disappointment.
"Akala ko icu-curl perm ako, tapos nagulat ako sa lahat ng Starstruck na contestants, sa akin yung pinakadrastic talaga yung makeover," Kris said.
"Bawal ako umangal baka maligwak ako pag umangal ako, so talagang iniyak ko na lang talaga. Kunyare happy ako, ngumingiti ngiti na lang ako. Pero grabe 'di ko talaga gusto yung haircut ko," she added.
In the video clip posted on GMA Network's page, Kris was seen to be teary-eyed while smiling after her hairstyle was revealed.
Many netizens poke fun at the actress' throwback haircut, including YouTube vlogger Cong TV, who used a TikTok filter referencing Kris' Starstruck hair and also used it to Kris.

Kris' husband, Perry Choi, also posted a picture on Instagram showing Kris and a drawing of her viral haircut.
"I have two wives," he captioned.

Kris was a former participant in "Starstruck: The Next Level" in 2006, together with her fellow ultimate survivors, Jewel Mische, Aljur Abrenica, and Mart Escudero.
