A Korean national was arrested after stabbing a dog to death in a cafeteria in Malate, Manila over the weekend.
Based on a report, a stray dog initially bit the suspect as seen on the CCTV footage. The owner of the cafeteria the approached him and helped him to wash his wound.
The Korean national ,later on, came out while carrying a knife taken from the cafeteria and approached the dog named Ericka.
The dog suffered four stab wounds, causing its immediate death.
The suspect was immediately arrested and taken to the hospital to be injected with anti-rabies.
The suspect explained that he left a key on the street when he was bitten by a previous dog. When he was about to take it, he was allegedly attacked by two other dogs.
The Korean is now under the custody of the Manila Police District and will face complaints of violation of The Animal Welfare Act of 1998 and charges of Malicious Mischief.
