South Korean singer Park Bo Ram has passed away, her label confirmed on Friday. She is 30.
In a statement, XANADU Entertainment said that the singer suddenly passed away late in the evening of April 11, Thursday.
"We are here to share sorrowful and heartbreaking news. Park Bo Ram suddenly passed away late at night on April 11. All of the artists and executives at XANADU Entertainment are deeply mourning the deceased with great sadness," the statement read.
"It is even more heartbreaking that we have to tell you this sudden news to all of the fans who support Park Bo Ram," it added.
A funeral will be held after consulting with her family, the label continued.
The police are currently investigating the cause of the singer's death.
Park Bo Ram gained attention when she appeared on the Mnet audition program 'SuperStar K2' in 2010. She received recognition for her exceptional singing skills and stage presence.
She made her official debut in 2014 and has released many hit songs, including “Beautiful,” “Celepretty,” and “Sorry.”
