South Korean actress Park Soo-Ryun has passed away after falling down a flight of stairs while on her way home.
In a report from Korean media outlet Soompi, the 29-year-old actress' family said that her fatal fall led her into a coma and was eventually declared brain dead.
Her family deceided to donate her organs.
"Only her brain is unconscious, and her heart is still beating. There must be someone who desperately needs [organs," her mother said in a statement.
As her mother and father, we will be able to live comforted [by the thought that her heart] has gone to someone and is beating," he mother said.
Her funeral wake was set up at Suwon Hospital of Gyeonggi Provincial Medical Center in Jangan-gu, Suwon, Gyeonggi-do.
The funeral procession will be held today, June 13 at 10:30 AM South Korea time.
Park Soo Ryun debuted in 2018 in the creative musical "Il Tenore."
She then appeared in the South Korean drama "Snowdrop," where she starred with BLACKPINK's Jisoo and Jung Hae In.
