Pinoy reggae singer Kokoi Baldo has passed away in an accident on Friday, December 8, 2023. He was 44.
According to reports, the truck accidentally ran over his motorcycle on Circumferential Road in Barangay Mandalagan, Bacolod City.
The truck driver, identified as Bunny Flor, is now in the custody of the local police while the investigation is still ongoing.
Baldo was a finalist in the popular singing contest, "The Voice of the Philippines" Season 2.
The sad news was confirmed by Kokoi's wife and manager in a Facebook post on Friday morning.
"It is with a heavy heart to inform the public, especially the fans, that Kokoi Baldo has passed away earlier this morning," his manager and wife Sam said on his Facebook page.
"We kindly ask for privacy during this hard time in respect to his family and friends. He will be missed, loved, and forever in our hearts," she added.
Rest in peace, Kokoi.
