Thai actress, singer, and model Chicha Amatayakul, widely known as Kitty Chicha, is rumored to be stepping away from her most iconic role as Nanno—the character that propelled her to international fame.

Girl from Nowhere is a popular Thai mystery-thriller anthology series on Netflix, starring Kitty Chicha as the enigmatic Nanno. In each episode, Nanno transfers to a different Thai high school, exposing secrets, hypocrisy, abuse, and corruption lurking beneath the surface of seemingly ordinary students and faculty.

Originally aired in Thailand in 2018, the series gained global recognition after the release of its second season on Netflix.

The ending of Season 2 strongly hinted that the lead character may no longer appear if a new season is released, following an unfortunate event involving Nanno. The finale also introduced the rise of another character, fueling speculation about a major shift in the storyline.

Rumors quickly spread that Becky Armstrong could take over as the new lead, following subtle hints from Kitty Chicha herself and the show’s production company, GIGIL. While Netflix has yet to officially confirm any changes, fan reactions remain divided—many express disappointment and continue to hope for Kitty Chicha’s return, while others are open and excited about the possibility of a new actress leading the series.
