Sheila Guo, the sister of former Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo, and Cassandra Li Ong, the representative of a Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) raided in Pampanga, returned to the Philippines on Thursday, August 22, following their arrest in Indonesia.
Guo and Ong arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 at around 5PM.
Atty, Mico Clavano, spokesperson of the Department of Justice, said that Guo and Ong will undergo inquest processing, and medical examination at the Bureau of Immigration before the National Bureau of Investigation takes custody of the two.
Clavano said that Guo faces charges for violation of immigration laws, while Ong faces charges for obstruction of justice, and violation of the New Philippine Passport Act.
Both the Senate and the House of Representatives also issued arrest warrants against Guo and Ong after citing them for contempt due to their failure to appear in congressional hearings.
"We will see kung kailan magpapatawad ang Senado or yung House ng hearing; in which case, we will have to bring them," Clavano told reporters.
