The Philippine National Police (PNP) rescued a Vietnamese national and arrested the three suspects, who happened to be her compatriots, in Pasay City on Thursday.
In a report by RH 27 Noche Cacas, victim Nguyen Thinly was kidnapped by her fellow Vietnamese nationals while staying at a hotel in Pasay City.
Nguyen’s Singaporean national boyfriend already gave almost one million pesos to the suspects; however, the victim has not yet been released.
According to Pasay PNP Chief of Police Froilan Uy, Nguyen checked in at the Have Hotel and was reportedly kidnapped on September 24.
He added that after the search negotiation, the victim's boyfriend paid P900,000 through an online transfer.
The victim was rescued at the Gardens of the Bay on Roxas Boulevard, where she was temporarily detained by the arrested suspects.
Meanwhile, the arrested suspects were identified as Tran Duy Ahn, Maj Ngoc Huyen, and Wang Jie.
