De La Salle University's standout player and two-time UAAP Most Valuable Player, Kevin Quiambao, has officially announced his departure from the league to pursue his 'NBA dream.'
He is set to begin his professional career in the Korean Basketball League (KBL) with the Goyang Sono SkyGunners.
"My college career comes to an end, i will Pursue my NBA dream and start my journey by playing professional ball in Goyang Sono SkyGunners and developing my game even more," Quiambao said in a social media post on Monday.
The King Archer expressed his gratitude to everyone who played a role in "unlocking and unleashing KQ."
The announcement came just a day after the Green Archers were unable to defend their title, with the University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons claiming the UAAP Season 87 men's basketball championship.
DLSU fell to UP in a nail-biting 66-62 defeat in Game 3 of the best-of-three finals series.
Quiambao played three seasons for DLSU, earning the UAAP Most Valuable Player award in 2023 and 2024, the UAAP Finals MVP in 2023, and the UAAP Rookie of the Year honor in 2022.
