Speaking out for the first time, Ken Chan addresses the syndicated estafa case lodged against him, reportedly connected to his business.
In a social media post, Chan asserted that he is facing the cases against him and has no intention of evading them.
Chan confirmed that the case against him is tied to the financial downfall of his business, Café Claus, which once had three branches before shutting down.
Chan stated that there are issues he and his fellow accused must stand up for, particularly the grounds for filing the case as syndicated estafa, which, according to him, should be confined to the matter of business losses.
He further mentioned that he would release more details in the future, as he claims that there are people working to tarnish his reputation.
The actor insisted that he did not simply ask for money or deceive others, contrary to the accusations being thrown at him.
He revealed that a significant cause of his business’s collapse was the alleged scheme by certain business partners to bring the company down.
Furthermore, Chan apologized to the companies and brands associated with him that were affected by his current issues, promising to compensate them in due time.
He expressed his gratitude to those who continue to stand by him with love and faith.
Chan, along with seven co-accused, was charged with syndicated estafa in relation to his business.
Law enforcement officers attempted to serve an arrest warrant to Chan at his Tandang Sora, Quezon City residence on November 8, but were unsuccessful as he was not found.
