Katya Santos said her sweetest “yes” to her non-showbiz boyfriend’s marriage proposal during their trip to Japan.
On her Instagram page, Santos shared their moments captured together when Paolo Pilar kneeled down on one knee and proposed while they were at Lake Ashi in Hanoke, Japan.
Her daughter from her previous marriage witnessed the heartwarming proposal.
Santos made a caption, saying that everything started in 2004 and that she believed that it was destiny, adding that she already understood that whatever happened in the past needed to occur and that the universe brought them back together.
“I loved you once; I love you still; I always have; I always will. To forever, my pungay,” she said in her caption.

On the other hand, Pilar also posted their moments on his personal Instagram account, recalling meeting Santos 20 years ago in Boracay Island and expressing his love to her for two decades already.
“Today in 2024, I finally asked her to be my wife with our families, friends, and the majestic Fuji-San as witnesses,” he captioned.
