The Kanlaon Volcano once again erupted, according to Canlaon City Mayor Batchuk Cardenas.
Cardenas confirmed to DZRH News that the volcano erupted at 1:26 pm, Wednesday, June 6.
The mayor immediately released an 'emergency alarm announcement' during the eruption.
Residents who are near the area were urged to evacuate.
Canlaon City, Negros Oriental, and La Castellana, Negros Occidental are currently in state of calamity.

NO ERUPTION RECORDED -PHIVOLCS
Meanwhile, PHIVOLCS Director Teresito Bacolol clarified that there was no observed eruption in Kanlaon.
"Wala kaming narecord na another eruption same sa June 3. Ang nagyare lamang— maulan kasi ngayon. Naremobilize yung mga organic gas natin as a muddy sheet wash," said Bacolol in an exclusive interview in DZRH.
