Kamikazee ordered to leave music festival in Casiguran, Sorsogon

OPM rock band Kamikazee was ordered to leave a music festival in Casiguran, Sorsogon last Sunday, Oct. 1 due to alleged "bad attitude".

Kamikazee was among the local artists invited to perform on the "Konsierte sa Casiguran", a concert in celebration of the Municipality's fiesta.

Amid the performances of OPM rising band IMAGO, incumbent Sorsogon Governor Edwin 'Boboy' Hamor went to the stage to announce that he ordered Kamikazee members to skip the music festival and depart the local residence where they were temporarily staying.

"Ako ay humihingi ng paumanhin, kaso may attitude... Sana naintindihan ninyo, hindi ko gusto ito, kaso sabi ko nga may attitude. Hindi na 'yan makakabalik ng Sorsogon, maniwala kayo sa akin," he told his constitutents.

"Kung ganoon ang ugali, pasensyahan tayo," Hamor added.

The Sorsogon Governor said the OPM rock band was paid prior to the festival.

He then stressed that he would not let anyone disrespect Sorsogon residents.

"Pinipili ko na itaas ang dignidad ng bawat Sorsogonanon pero huwag gano'n. Huwag gan'on na tayo ay bastusin," Hamor cotinued.

Kamikazee has yet to release a statement regarding the incident, as of this writing.

The OPM band rose to fame in the 2000s, and it has been active up until today.

Kamikazee is known for its hit songs like "Chicksilog", "Narda", "Martyr Nyebera", "Doo Bidoo", and many more.
