The Kalayaan Job Fair was set up at the Aguinaldo Shrine in Kawit, Cavite as part of the celebration of the 127th anniversary of Independence Day on Thursday, June 12.
Organized by the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) of Kawit’s local government, the job fair features 28 companies offering on-the-spot hiring across various industries.
PESO also noted that several agencies are recruiting Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) who are interested in working as domestic helpers in the Middle East.
Applicants are required to pre-register through the official Facebook page of PESO and submit their résumés at the designated booth at the Aguinaldo Shrine.
Furthermore, jobseekers are encouraged to bring several copies of their résumé, a personal pen, and to dress appropriately for the event.
Earlier in the day, Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo, serving as guest of honor, led the Philippine flag-raising ceremony at the historic balcony in the Aguinaldo Shrine.
He also officiated the wreath-laying at the tomb of former President Emilio Aguinaldo.
