Kainan at Kwentuhan with Karen Ow-Yong: Starting the day with a healthy mind and full of energy
by DZRH News10 December 2022

Breakfast is considered the most important meal of the day. Health experts explain that the first meal of the day allows the body to replenish energy after hours of sleep.

Eating breakfast has also been linked to improving brainpower and managing the weight of a person. However, with a busy schedule, some people no longer have the time to cook meals and eat their breakfast.

This is where the word “brunch,” a shortened term for the combination of breakfast and lunch meals, originated.

In the fifth episode of Kainan at Kwentuhan with Karen Ow-Yong (KKK) with Resident Chef Erik Magtanong, they cooked a hearty meal: sardines fried rice, and tortang corned beef.

To make it even more delicious, Chef Erik used MAGGI MAGIC SARAP, your go-to all-in-one seasoning that helps bring out the delicious taste in dishes.

Filipinos love to eat their meals with rice, and sometimes, they add a little twist to it to make it more enjoyable.

Sardines and or any type of fish are rich in omega-3 fatty acids.

Meanwhile, if rice is a staple in every Filipino meal, torta has also been a regular part of Filipino breakfast.

Experts have also found eggs as a great source of protein, which can also fuel the cells in our body.

Eating these two meals in a day would give you a day full of energy.
