Kai Sotto will play alongside Orlando Magic in the upcoming 2023 NBA Summer League.
In a Facebook post, NBA Philippines confirmed reports that the 21-year old Filipino basketball player received an invitation to join the Magic in the off-season competition that will run from July 7 to July 17 in Las Vegas, United States.
Scouts, and NBA coaches will watch the 2023 NBA Summer League, which could provide an opportunity for Sotto to enter the NBA.
Prior to receiving an invite from Magic, Sotto trained with the Utah Jazz, Dallas Mavericks, and New York Knicks in minicamps.
Sotto, who went undrafted in 2022 NBA Rookie Draft, played for the Adelaide 36ers in Australia for two years.
He also signed a contract with the Hiroshima Dragonflies for the next season of the B.League in Japan but a clause in the agreement allows the Filipino player to sign with an NBA team.
