Magnitude 5.3 earthquake hit Governor Generoso, Davao Oriental

A magnitude 5.3 earthquake hit Governor Generoso, Davao Oriental, at around 8:57 a.m. in the morning, Wednesday, August 9.
According to PHILVOCS, the epicenter was about 109 kilometers (68 miles) southeast of Davao City. The tremor occurred at a depth of about 58 kilometers (36 miles), and weak-to-light shaking was probably felt throughout southeastern Mindanao.
The intensity III earthquake was recorded in some parts of Cotabato, Davao Occidental, Davao de Oro and Sarangani.
There have been no initial reports of damage or casualties as a result of the earthquake.
Meanwhile, Phivolcs warned the affected areas to expect aftershocks over the coming days.
