'Pilipinas Got Talent' winner Jovit Baldivino has passed away at age of 29, his family confirmed on Friday, Dec. 9.
In a Facebook post, Baldivino’s wife Camille Ann Miguel posted a photo of them together with a caption “Asawa ko” in all capslock and crying emojis.
On Dec. 6, Baldivino was reportedly confined in a hospital after collapsing at a party in Batangas.
According to earlier reports, the singer suffered a mild hemorrhagic stroke and underwent an operation.
Prior to his music career, Baldivino used to be a siomai vendor in Batangas.
Poverty and his desire to finish his studies pushed him to join the first season of “Pilipinas Got Talent” in 2010.
He was declared the grand winner of the said reality talent competition.
A year later, Balivino won as "Promising Singer" in the GMMSF Box Office Entertainment Awards.
Baldivino is known for his OPM hits such as "Pusong Bato" and "Ika'y Mahal Pa Rin".
