Senate Majority Leader Joel Villanueva announced on Sunday that he tested positive for COVID-19 for the third time after experiencing fever-like symptoms.
In a Facebook post, Villanueva shared that he started not feeling well last Thursday and initially thought that it was because of his knee injury.
"I took an antigen test today because I started feeling worse with fever-like symptoms and unfortunately, I tested positive," he said.
"Sa Senado at bahay lang po ang activities natin this week, but we got infected again. Nag-isolate na po muna tayo while waiting for the results of our RT-PCR test," he continued.

Villanueva first tested positive for COVID-19 in January last year. Months later, he contracted the virus again.
