The late JM Canlas’ casket was donated to Jerhode Jemboy Baltazar, a teenager who was killed by Navotas City policemen after he was mistaken as a suspect, according to his brother, Jerom Canlas.

In a separate Facebook post, Jerom shared that JM’s casket was donated to Baltazar’s family to use and called for justice over his death, and lauded his younger brother for being able to do something even after passing.

It was last August 3 when JM’s family announced his passing at the age of 17, not disclosing the details about the young actor’s death, who is coincidentally the same age as Baltazar.

Over the weekend, JM was buried, as noted by Jerom, who expressed his deepest gratitude to everyone who took the time to visit his brother’s wake.

Meanwhile, Baltazar died on August 2 while he was on his way to fish when he was shot and killed by six Navotas City cops in barangay NBBS Kaunlaran due to 'mistaken identity.'
