Javi Gomez De Liano bid farewell to the PBA team Terrafirma Dyip after playing for almost two years with the team.

"These 2 years were definitely a big boost to my career. Without the trust, I wouldn’t be here and I will always be grateful for that. Till we meet again down the road," De Liano announced in an Instagram post.

The 25-year old basketball player announced his departure after he helped Dyip advance to the quarterfinals of the 2024 PBA Philippine Cup quarterfinals.

The second playoff appearance of Terrafirma in the PBA came to an end after losing to the defending PBA Philippine Cup champions, San Miguel, in Game Two of the quarterfinals.

Per the records of the PBA, De Liano averaged 15.92 points, 5.58 rebounds, and 1.50 assists per game in the All-Filipino conference.

"Thank you for the 2 amazing years that have passed! I am truly grateful for the opportunity of being able to play in the PBA, most especially making it to the playoffs with this franchise," De Liano said.

"The team accepted me with open arms from the day i got traded and have helped me develop into not only a better player, but more importantly, a better individual," he added.

Brgy. Ginebra initially drafted De Liano but traded him and Brian Enriquez to Terrafirma in order for the former to acquire the rights for Jeremiah Gray.

While De Liano did not announce where he will go to next, reports say that he will once again play overseas, and that he eyes a stint in the Korean Basketball League.

Prior to joining the PBA, De Liano played for the Japanese basketball team Ibaraki Robots.
