MANILA – Japanese Ambassador to the Philippines ENDO Kazuya made a courtesy call to newly appointed Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Secretary Cesar Chavez at Malacañang Complex on Wednesday, 18 September.
Ambassador Endo extended his congratulations to Secretary Chavez on his new designation and expressed gratitude for his continued cooperation with Japan since his previous assignment as Undersecretary of the Department of Transportation (DOTr), the Embassy of Japan in the Philippines stated.

Likewise, Secretary Chavez extended a warm welcome to the Ambassador and expressed his eagerness to work together on deepening bilateral relations between Japan and the Philippines, the statement continues.
Endo and Chavez reaffirmed their mutual commitment to “take significant steps in forging stronger ties” between the two nations, the Japanese Embassy said.
