Filipino fans of Japanese actor Kentaro Sakaguchi are in for a treat as the heartthrob is heading to the Philippines for the Kentaro Sakaguchi Asia Tour Fan Meeting 2025.
The event is scheduled to take place on May 17 at the SM Skydome in Quezon City.
Sakaguchi, who first gained popularity as a fashion model, made a successful transition to acting and quickly rose to prominence in Japan’s entertainment scene. He captured the public’s attention with his breakout roles in Heroine Shikkaku and Ore Monogatari!! in 2015—earning him the Best New Actor award at the 11th Osaka Cinema Festival.
His performance in the two-part mystery film 64: Parts 1 and 2 (2016) further established his acting credentials, garnering him the Newcomer of the Year award at the 40th Japan Academy Film Prize.
Over the years, Sakaguchi has continued to earn praise for his roles in films such as The 100th Love with You (2017), We Made a Beautiful Bouquet (2021), and the hit TV drama Signal (2018).
Local fans may remember Sakaguchi’s appearance at the 2023 AAA held in Bulacan, where he received the Best Artist Award (Actor) and Asia Celebrity Award.
This upcoming fan meeting marks his first-ever fan event in the Philippines, offering a rare opportunity for Filipino supporters to engage with the star in a more personal setting.
