LOOK: On December 19, 2024, Environment Secretary Maria Antonia Yulo Loyzaga led a bilateral meeting with Japan’s State Minister for Environment, Fumiaki Kobayashi. Along with the Philippine delegation and partners from the Japanese government, they discussed ways to strengthen collaboration on waste management and environmental protection. Held in Tokyo, Japan, this discussion is vital for addressing environmental challenges like waste management and pollution. By learning from Japan’s successful approaches, the Philippines can enhance efforts to build a circular economy focused on sustainable consumption and production.
