A netizen has criticized Janno Gibbs for “not showing sadness” as he celebrated New Year in Japan together with his family despite the passing of his father, Ronaldo Valdez.
Gibbs posted a family photo on December 31 to greet his followers, which was taken in Japan, when a netizen with the username @miagison commented that his father “just passed away.”

The netizens commented that it looked like sadness did not exist in the singer-actor’s post, adding that she is not judging Gibbs.
Gibbs clapped back and told the netizen that she should be ashamed for being judgmental, while other Instagram users defended him and emphasized that there are different ways of showing grief.
Later on, the netizen apologized for her insensitive comment and told Gibbs that she was wrong for judging him quickly because of the posted photo.
It is seen that Gibbs continuously longs for his father through his earlier Instagram posts, which obviously describe his real emotions towards Valdez’s death.
Meanwhile, Valdez passed away in the afternoon of December 17, when he was found dead in his bedroom.
