Jad Dera, a detainee who was recently arrested after leaving the National Bureau of Investigation's detention facility, has been transported to the Muntinlupa City Jail.
Dera was formally turned over to the Muntinlupa City Jail at 7:11 p.m., according to John Consulta's exclusive report on Unang Balita. Thursday is the day.
During the transfer, he was protected by a large number of NBI agents.
Dera's transfer was ordered by the Muntinlupa Court after the Department of Justice (DOJ) requested it after he was discovered leaving the NBI facility.
He and other NBI security officers were apprehended in June after he allegedly went out on a date with his escorts.
Dera also confessed that he was allowed to leave the prison center for the second time to go to another hospital and have his heart checked, but he did not receive permission from the court this time.
He was able to leave the NBI for the third time this year on Father's Day, and the fourth time occurred on June 20, reportedly for a date, when he and five NBI jail guards were apprehended.
Dera also corroborated claims that he was able to travel to Calatagan, Batangas, and Tagaytay City with other NBI personnel.
Meanwhile, the DOJ stated that it is "hellbent on making heads roll" over what occurred. Dera has been jailed at the NBI jail since 2019 on suspicion of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
He is also charged with murder.
