The official music video of IU's pre-release single "Love wins all" co-starring Kim Taehyung of BTS was dropped on Wednesday, January 24.
The five minute and 22 second MV opens with a young couple who are seemingly running away from a floating giant cube in the sky. Scars can be seen in IU and V's faces and fears are evident in their eyes.
As they settle to hide in an abandoned place filled with pile of clothes, IU and V find a camera recorder or camcorder that allow them to see a more finer version of themselves.
"Dearest, Darling, My universe. Would you take me along? To a place I can’t dream with my poor imagination. Far away in the universe from Earth to Mars. Will you please go with me?" the lyrics says.
Scenes transition to the couple wearing wedding gown and tuxedo while dancing and singing.
However, their euphoria became short-lived after the giant cube find them and vanishes them in the world.
"Go to the end with me My lover. Two of us, side by side, gone astray on purpose. Crush me in your arms. Give me a lovelier kiss Lover. Our Love wins all. Love wins all," the lyrics conveys.
The "Love wins all" MV currently ranks number #1 on YouTube worldwide.
The digital single is set to be released on music platforms today at 6 PM (Korean Standard Time).
"Love wins all" marks IU's long-awaited return to the K-pop scene after two years of focusing on acting.
