ABS-CBN decided not to appeal the 12-day suspension of “It’s Showtime” ordered by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) that will begin on October 14.
“We respect the authority of MTRCB, but we humbly maintain that the program did not break any pertinent law,” the broadcast giant said in a statement released Friday, Oct. 6.
“Our heartfelt thanks to our viewers for their unwavering love and support for "It's Showtime," which will return on October 28 stronger and better than ever. Maraming salamat, Madlang People!” the statement further read.
MTRCB ordered the suspension over alleged indecent acts performed by the hosts. “It’s Showtime” earlier filed a Motion for Reconsideration regarding the matter, but the movie and television board denied it.
