Israel condemned the recent bombing in Marawi City that killed four individuals and left several wounded, calling it a “despicable act” against Filipinos as they extend their deepest condolences to the victims and their bereaved families.

According to Israel’s embassy in Manila on Monday, the war-stricken country offered prayers for recovery to those injured and sent their sympathy to the people during the difficult times.

They added that the said country is in solidarity with the Philippine government and Filipino people in the face of the terrorist attack.

Moreover, Israel said that terrorism is a global threat that needs collective unity among nations to maintain the safety and well-being of the people and their communities.

Meanwhile, the explosion happened at the Dimaporo Gymnasium in Mindanao State University, in which a 60mm mortar round was found by the security officers.

Among the victims during the blast were students and teachers who attended the Catholic mass.
