Islander Philippines on Wednesday, Dec. 27, clarified that the closing of a specific outlet in Cebu would not impact the overall Islander brand.
In a statement, the Pinoy-made brand said they were aware of a post making rounds online. It assured the public that they would continue producing high-quality slippers.
“We are aware of the post that has been going around and we’d like to confirm that Islander Philippines will not close and will continue to produce high-quality slippers for the Filipinos,” its statement read.
“The recent post circulating is related to a specific outlet only and does not impact the overall Islander brand. You can still order your favorite styles at Footstep branches and department stores near you,” it added.
Islander Factory Outlet in Cebu earlier announced that it would close its doors to consumers by January 1.
