Manila Mayor Isko Moreno said his fellow presidential candidate Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. is lucky to be endorsed by the Cusi-led PDP-Laban faction while at the same time, maintaining his standing as a frontrunner in the surveys.
"Good for him. Talagang pinagpala si Ferdinand Marcos Jr., swerteng-swerte siya. He's leading the survey at ngayon, tinulungan pa siya ng isang malaking partido ng administrasyon," Moreno said in an ambush interview with reporters on Wednesday, March 23.

On Tuesday, the PDP-Laban faction chaired by Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi said Marcos is the candidate whose platform is "most aligned with the development program" of the current administration.
"He is the candidate whose vision of governance is most aligned with PDP-Laban's 11-point agenda," the party said in its resolution.
Earlier, Moreno's campaign manager Lito Banayo said the move "was beyond any principled choice."
"How a PDP-Laban can now support the candidacy of the son of the nemesis of their party's founding fathers is beyond any principled choice," he said.
PDP-Laban was formed in the 1980s as an opposition coalition against the Marcos dictatorship. The party was formed by the merger of Partido Demokratiko Pilipino founded Pimentel's father late Nene Pimentel Jr. and Lakas ng Bayan led by then Sen. Benigno "Ninoy Aquino Jr.
