Indigenous people (IP) and other groups, who are opposing the construction of the Kaliwa Dam project, have already arrived in Metro Manila and Malacañang on Thursday.
In a report from RH Val Gonzales, there were more than 300 people who marched for nine days from the town of General Nakar, Quezon Province to Greater Manila.
The group directly went straight to the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) office and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).
At around 3:00 p.m., the natives went straight to Malacañang to send their letter to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr, with details of their opposition to the Kaliwa Dam project.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday, MWSS paid a P160 million disturbance fee to the IPs who will be affected by dam construction.
