The Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group (ACG) raided a suspected investment scam hub in San Roque, Antipolo City, at around 8 a.m. today, May 27.
As reported by RH Edniel Parrosa, based on the initial report from the ACG Cyber Response Unit, 70 individuals were found at the site, including employees of the establishment and one minor.
The operation stemmed from a complaint filed by an Australian national regarding an alleged investment scheme targeting foreigners.
Acting on a warrant to search, seize, and examine computer data issued against the office owner, the ACG seized several computers and digital devices, which are now undergoing digital forensic examination.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident.
This is a developing story.
