An abandoned newborn and healthy baby was found sealed inside a sack in the grassy area of ​​Brgy. Sogod in the town of Bacacay in Albay on Tuesday night, Nov. 28.

According to Ruel Saldico's report in MBC Network News, men heard a sound of baby's cry while they were looking for snails to be eaten.

The men were prompted to search where the sound came from, and later found a sack in a grassy area.

Upon looking into the sack, they saw a live newborn baby and immediately brought her to their home and took care of.

The baby has been turned over to the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office to be taken care of while the investigation is still ongoing.

Authorities have yet to determine the parents or individuals who abandoned the poor baby.
