Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) members arrived early at the Quirino Grandstand for the "National Rally for Peace" scheduled on January 13.
As early as 4 p.m. on Sunday, long lines of parked vehicles, which had transported some INC members to the area, could be seen along P. Burgos St., near Rizal Park.
Furthermore, as the evening set in, the number of people began to grow, despite the fact that the setup for the event was still in progress.
By around 6 p.m., large crowds had gathered at the Quirino Grandstand, with members arriving from different provinces to set up tents and other necessities for their overnight stay at the venue.
Members from various parts of Metro Manila are expected to continue arriving today until the activity officially begins. The main event is scheduled to take place at exactly 4 p.m.

Meanwhile, no significant security threats amid the nationwide 'Rally for Peace' were reported.
In an exclusive interview with DZRH, BGen. Arnold Ibay, Director of the Manila Police District, assured that all police preparations are ready and the rally is expected to be 'generally peaceful.'
Nevertheless, despite not receiving any security threats, their personnel remain on full alert.
"Although wala naman kaming natatanggap o namo-monitor na threat at kung sakali man na mayroong mapansin na kahina-hinala sa kilos ng ating mga maga-attend o kaya mga bagay na naiwanan, ipag-alam po kaagad sa amin para amin pong matugunan," said Ibay.
It was reported that over 1,000 police officers from the MPD will be deployed to ensure security and assist attendees at the rally.
