Imelda Marcos, former first lady and mother to President Fedinand Marcos Jr., is currently recovering from a "successful" angioplasty over the weekend, her daughter Senator Imee Marcos said Thursday.&nbsp;
"My mother Mrs. Imelda R. Marcos underwent a successful angioplasty last May 7 at St. Luke&rsquo;s Medical Center Global City Imee said in a message to reporters.&nbsp;
"[She] is recovering well and will be sent home this week," she added.&nbsp;
In March, <a href="https://dzrh.com.ph/post/imee-belies-rumors-of-mom-imelda-passing" target="_blank" rel="noopener">rumors</a> of the Marcos matriarch's death first surfaced on Twitter, with the keyword 'Imelda Marcos' trending. However, her niece&nbsp;Eliza Romualdez-Valtos denied the rumors.&nbsp;
