Senator Imee Marcos has tested positive for COVID-19, Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri announced on Monday.

"Senator Imee Marcos, for the record, had written to us that she had tested positive for COVID-19," Zubiri said after calling the roll during the day's Senate session.

He added that the presidential sister is currently experiencing a "raging fever."

Marcos’ virtual attendance was acknowledged after she said she was listening in the session.

Zubiri and Senate Majority Leader Joel Villanueva extended their good wishes and prayers for Marcos’ recovery.
