by Mary Antalan01 February 2024

Senator Imee Marcos maintains her strong belief in Marcos-Duterte's "Uniteam," saying Vice President Sara Duterte is "unconquerable" despite some "ambitious" politicians who are trying to defame her name.

Marcos thought that the divisive People's Initiative (PI), which she said was created by a politician, was only a means of removing Duterte from her post.

Marcos said in an exclusive interview during Balansyado on Wednesday.

The Senator said that the Senate has no problem with the Charter change (Cha-cha) but not the PI that makes Filipinos "dumb."

Huwag naman natin gawing bobo yung Pilipino," she said.

During a Senate hearing on Tuesday, Marcos said Congress denied allegations that they were the ones behind the PI, but testimonials showed that it came from the House of Representatives.

"Sabi nila ay wala raw silang kinalaman diyan pero yung iba't ibang testigo kahapon ay naging klaro na nagmula talaga sa opisyal, nagmula sa Office of the Speaker."

Marcos believes that PI is not the solution for charter change, as they have already passed a law regarding economic provisions since the time of President Duterte.
