ICI submits documents on allegedly anomalous flood control projects to DOJ
by Jim Fernandez23 March 2026
The Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) on Monday turned over to the Department of Justice (DOJ) documents relevant to its investigation into the alleged anomalies discovered in various flood control projects.
In a report by RH 29 Boy Gonzales, among the submitted documents are evidence and records gathered by the ICI during its examinations of the implementation of numerous flood control projects.
The DOJ will now determine whether there is sufficient basis to file charges against the parties possibly involved in the irregularities.
The independent probe body has yet to release additional details on the contents of the documents provided, as it expects the DOJ to launch its own, thorough probe into the issue.
