Oh Maymay, new music from the “Amakabogera” singer is finally dropping!
After emerging as a strong force in the entertainment industry, and dabbling in various projects related to acting, hosting, modelling, and music, Maymay Entrata is finally ready to reinvent herself.
In an Instagram post on Tuesday, February 4, the actress-performer reviewed her journey in the industry, recalling her achievements and experiences.
“Halos isang dekada na akong nasa industriya. Acting, hosting, modeling – napasok ko at inaral ko po lahat sa dahilang di ko pa alam kung ano yung gusto kong tatahakin. Habang lumilipas ang panahon, marami po akong na-experience, marami rin akong goals na nakamit – pero parang feeling ko nun may kulang parin,” she said.
However, everything changed when Maymay released the pop hit “Amakabogera” in 2021. The title is Filipino slang that translates to “I’m a Kabogera” (I’m a stunner). Maymay indulged in the song’s overall vibe, stating that she felt empowered and strong since its release.
“Bigla kong naramdamang umaapaw ang passion ko po. I felt happy everytime I learned something about music. That was the moment I decided to pursue it seriously,” she expressed.
Maymay credited those who believed in her potential in music, adding that they were part of why she also believed in herself. With that, the performer shared that she had been preparing for a certain project for more than a year now.
“May bagong music po akong lalabas very soon – music that reflects lahat po ng pinagdaanan ko at lahat ng laman ng aking puso. I’ve reached another turning point in my career. I want to remake myself, I want to be reborn,” she said.
“And with that, let me re-introduce myself po. I am Maymay and sana masamahan niyo po ako sa aking journey of discovery and sharing my inner world with you through my music,” she added.
